I used Pickens and Kane to move from Chicago to Pittsburgh in April 2017. They did the packing and moving . They were awesome. The packers were courteous, polite, and efficient. The trucking company did a great job loading and getting me to my destination in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Earlier this month, our family completed a move from Chicago to Melbourne, Australia. Needless to say, it was an unbelievably exciting and tremendously stressful time for us. We chose Pickens-Kane mostly for their follow-up after my initial call -- we just felt a sense of confidence and comfort that the other providers didn't give us. We were a little concerned that we might not get the same service from the larger Allied network once things left Chicago, so we considered other global companies, but Pickens-Kane still seemed to rise above the others. It was a gut thing, but it wound up being exactly what we needed. What could have been a source of incredible stress went remarkably smoothly. Our things were packed in December, went on a truck, a train, a ship to Taiwan, another ship to Melbourne, got unpacked for Australian customs and quarantine, repacked on a truck and delivered to our new place in about 2 months door-to-door (which is impressive). NOT ONE single thing was broken. They didn't spill a Lego. I'm offering this review because, frankly, that shocked the heck out of me. Bottom line, the service was great. All of our calls and emails were answered immediately. Everything happened right on time. The crews were polite, capable and respectful (and really important for me, they kept things light on the packing and moving days -- some of the most anxiety-inducing days of my life). These guys are amazing. We held a conference and needed moving and storage for almost 100 materials. Wonderful response to particular needs. Very detail oriented and easy to talk to. Thorough to talk to. 10/10 would get them again. Tom and Sandra were great. Also, LENNY! You are amazing. Thank you for double checking thing ha for us and asking important questions we didn't even think about to reassure our materials are accounted for. 5 stars for days!

I can't say enough about what a great experience I had with my move. You hear of so many bad experiences so I was really concerned about moving 2400 miles to California. What a wonderful surprise. Scott, my sales person was great! He came in & quickly but efficiently looked over my things & gave me a price that was reasonable & did not change. Marni stayed in contact thru the entire process and her cheerful voice kept me calm throughput. My driver, Elijah Davis from A. Arnold Relocation-Louisville (an North American Agent), was great. He & his assistants on both ends were friendly, polite & careful with my possessions. I'm not fully unpacked yet but so far, so good & the furniture arrived safely. I enthusiasticly recommend Pickens Kane for your moving needs!

I moved from Chicago to Orlando, and my moving experience was absolutely fantastic! The quote I received was fairly reasonable. Scott and Marni were very helpful throughout the entire process. The guys that picked up my belongings in Chicago and delivered my belonging in Orlando were super nice, efficient, and handled my things with care. Out of a 4000lb move over 1100 miles, only my garbage can was broken. Pickens-Kane and Coleman American did an excellent job, and I'm very happy with the choice that I made!

My twenty four year old son was offered a job in San Jose California, he asked for my help to send his car across country and I depended on Marni and Pickens Kane Allied Van Line to help a momma out. I relocated from Richton Park, IL to Charlotte, N. Carolina during the busy moving summer season. The team at Pickens Kane Allied Van Line did a excellent job of making my moving experience a success. From the day I met with Scott Leeson, Relocation Consultant, who laid out the ground work for moving and then the follow up and updates with Marni Wozniak, Moving Coordinator, placed me at ease about the long distance move. They were available to answer any questions and any concerns that I had about moving and packing. Kelvin Haish, the Allied Driver along with his crew were very thorough in preparing my items for the move. Kelvin followed up with me as promised and upon delivery went through everything with me and made certain that my items were organized in my storage unit. His truck was well organized and very clean. The next day Marni followed up with me. I really appreciate how this team handled my relocation and I would recommend their service to others.

I can't say enough good things about the Pickens-Kane staff and my moving experience. I moved from Chicago to L.A. and they were able to accommodate my last minute request and super professional from start to finish. Phil and his crews in both cities were great and they went out of their way to work with my schedule, looked out for my best interests and were just really great. They were ontime, honest and upfront about all costs, the process and expectations. A handle of a ceramic pan was broken and one IKEA lamp--that's it! For moving my 40+ boxes and 2 bedroom apartment across country that is pretty incredible!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone, I've used other cross country moving companies and they don't even compare!
Suburban Chicago Moving and Storage Review
I required a move from apartment in Cary, IL and storage locker in Lake Barrington to a Palatine location. It was a great experience from call to plan, to estimate, to the move. Plans changed on a location which was no issue. The 2 movers were very courteous and careful. They arrived right promptly at 9 AM as planned. They surveyed the job and pointed out damages in walls, etc before the move. The move was within the time line and very efficient with protection of couch and other items and then the floor at the destination. Highly recommend!!!!
